Who we are

ENSEC is run on democratic principles and  strives towards the inclusion of the representative interests of all European states. This does not necessarily mean that representatives from all European states  form part of the Network, but existing ENSEC members will strive to represent the interests of the widest range of European states. The activities of the Network are organised around a series of specific projects  identified through a process of consultation amongst ENSEC members. The purpose of the Network is to complete these projects in accordance with the aims and objectives as have been agreed democratically by the Network members. ENSEC is not intended to be self perpetuating but rather a structure to facilitate the achievement of specific goals. The Network is  chaired by two or more joint facilitators for a maximum period of 3 years. The role of the Joint Facilitators includes the following:

  • to coordinate the Network’s activities

  • to ensure that the virtual and face to face meetings take place as planned

  • to report decisions to members

  • to disseminate information

  • to monitor ENSEC’s activities according to the agreed objectives
